Inside the Forest

[Ashador]

Jaffar threw one of his knives at a near by tree. "Squirrel" he said as he went to get the fallen animal.

[Jagues]

" Oh sound good so ah what do you want me to do?" asked Zack as he started picking up wood.

[Allule]

Gilgamesh entered the path just in time to see the squirel snuff it. Frowning a little, he steped up and said "It looks as though we will be joining forces for a while."

[Ashador]

Jaffar raised one eyebrow in mild confusion, then he saw kyosuke standing next to Gilgamesh. " It would seem so. since your here though i have a few questions I'd like answered if at all possible. First of all I'd like to know what that clown really is. it seems pretty obvious it isn't really a clown. And secondly I'd like to know what the king wants with him." as he said this he pulled out the note from the king he had received earlier, and handed it to him.

[Allule]

Taking the note, Gilgamesh answered somewhat slowly. "The Clown is one of the Heralds; those that are in charge of the Swords.... Although why the king would care about this herald, I cannot say. However, I would think it safe to assume that the King has some fear for the safety of the sword..." He glanced at the note then handed it back. "I would say that the king is not in this forest. I would also say that we need to leave. Now. The Heralds have already departed; I can sense that much. It seems like a warning at the very least that something ominous is going to happen..." Here he frowned. It seemed like it might be very serious indeed.

[Jagues]

Zack looked at the two men and reconized one of them the other he didnt know so he went to the man put his hand out and said " Hello my name is Zack what is yours."

[Allule]

"Gilgamesh" he said gruffly, not bothering to take the others hand.

[Ashador]

As they sat around eating, Jaffar couldn't help but feel a little uneasy. something was off, and he didn't know what it was. So he began to observe his surroundings and found the cause. He had seen the animals moving around, but they were all moving in the same direction, away from something, something ominous. he quickly turned toward Kyosuke and get his attention. he then made a few hand gestures. once he was done with his silent message Kyosuke got up and headed in the direction the animals were moving.

"we got company" he said to the other two who had been watching he and Kyosuke, " from the looks of things they're powerful....REALLY powerful. They're still about 30 meters that way but they're coming this way. Zack put out the fire, then go find a good hiding spot to ambush this thing once it comes through. we'll do the same," he said pointing to Gilgamesh, "and whatever you do don't jump the gun on this i don't want anyone dieing OK."

[Jagues]

Zack quickly got up and lept on to a tree, with the branches covering him he could not be seen. He got out his lance prepared for the attack.

[Allule]

"I take orders from no one. I make My own way now. This thing is not to be trifled with, that is for certain." Gilgamesh truned and jumped into one of the trees, disapearing in one fluid movement. This thing was indeed powerful, and, although he could not say why, he felt that this incoming presence also held one of the Swords.

[Ashador]

Kyosuke had maneged to get about 75 meters out before deciding to turn around he jumped as high as he could into a nearby tree. with the fire out it was now almost impossible to see in the pitch dark of the forest. he quickly pulled out his Rifle and attached an inferred scope allowing him to make out his comrades, and the single approaching enemy which was about 10 meters from Jaffar now and still closing.

Meanwhile, Jaffar had taken up position near a tree still near the fire. all but a few straggling animals had fled the area. it was quite too quite. He knew that by now he should have heard footsteps but all was silent. his only thoughts though were " way to be a team player Gilg."

[Allule]

Xar entered the clearing looking unconcerned. There was no challange here.

((The Heralds can join in a post or two. If you want to attack him feel free.))

[Jagues]

Zack got in his stance and lowered his lance pointing at the stranger " Lighting thrust." Zack said and in an instant he was surrounded by lighting and as fast as lighting head straight toward the man.

[Ashador]

No! thought Jaffar I told that idiot not to jump the gun.

Kyosuke was watching from his perch in the tree. He could see Zack make his attack and even in the blurry night vision scope he could see Jaffar was more than a little pissed that he did. He could also see Jaffar holding up one hand signaling not to jump in till he told him to.

((unfortunatly Kyosuke misread the sign and shot Zack in the back of the head splattering his brains all over Xar))

[Allule]

Xar looked unconcerned as the two attack hurttled towards him. In fact, the casters didn't even see him block them. But they clearly didn't even phase him as he walked into the clearing. "So there appears to be some opposition after all." He said softly.
